Jose Bautista Toronto Blue Jays Signed 2011 Era Canada Day Majestic Jersey with “proud to represent Canada” Note. Jersey size is Large (does not have tags). This very rare one of a kind signed jersey has been hand-signed by Blue Jay legend Jose Bautista with his stunning letter for letter signature. Jose added a very unique inscription under his signature that was a one-off from a signing we did with him during our signing relationship that reads “proud to represent Canada”. Items signed by Jose are very rare as he has done very few signings since the relationship AJ Sports had with him during his playing days in Toronto. This is the exact item you will be receiving. This item was signed at an AJ Sports sanctioned private signing and will be accompanied with an AJ Sports Certificate of Authenticity and tamper resistant numbered Jose Bautista custom hologram. AJ Sports guarantees the authenticity of this signature as well as any signature we offer for sale. Please Note: as you can see from the images the signature and inscription has slightly bled into the number which can be expected with a signed jersey that is over a decade old.
The Blue Jays just announced that they will honour Bautista on the Level of Excellence during the 2023 regular season. The team announced Sunday that it will have slugger José Bautista take his place on the Level of Excellence in a pre-game ceremony. “José Bautista captured hearts and ignited a fan base as part of the team that brought Toronto back to the post-season for the first time in 22 years,” said Blue Jays president and CEO Mark Shapiro.
