Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q: What is a buyers premium (BP) and why am I being charged it?
A: In auctions, the buyer's premium is a percentage additional charge on the hammer price (winning bid at auction) of the lot that must be paid by the winner. It is charged by the auctioneer to cover administrative expenses
Q: How can I choose to pickup my won lots instead of shipping my items and paying shipping fees?
A: Currently there is no way for customers to select this in their account options. However, feel free to contact us at auctions@ajsportsworld.com and our auction manager can adjust your invoice manually.
Q: What currency are invoices processed in and do taxes apply?
A: All auctions are conducted in Canadian funds. Canadian customers will be charged their respective provincial sales tax rate.
Q: I've been bidding successfully for a while and now all of a sudden I can't. Is there a limit to the amount I'm allowed to bid?
A: By default, new accounts receive an internal credit of $2,500. Meaning the total all of your bids cannot be more than $2,500. Our staff monitors the auction regularly and will update your limit if you are getting close but should you require an increase of your limit, please contact auctions@ajsportsworld.com
Q: I accidentally entered wrong information while trying to pay for my invoice and now I'm getting an error reading "Cannot process due to duplicate ID". How can I pay my invoice?
A: Don't worry. The A.J. Auction team and the web team are aware of the issue but cannot fix this due to limitations from our payment processor. Please contact us at support@ajsportsworld.com and we will manually process your order for you.
